Dania DRAGA, began her career as a student in Italy, where she graduated from the “Luigi Boccherini” institute of music in Lucca, going on to attend courses under Pierre Amoyal, Ruggiero Ricci and Régis Pasquier at the École de Haut Perfectionnement Musical in Saluzzo, Italy, as well as courses under Giuseppe Prencipe at the Académie Internationale Mugi in Rome. Moving to France in 1993, she then plays in several concerts with the Paul Dukas Quartet both in France and Italy. Draga co-founds the Antares Quartet in 1995 and takes part in several string quartets with Sergiu Celibidache. As second violin for the Antares Quartet, Dania Draga meets the members of several prestigious quartets, such as Amadeus, Alban Berg, Cleveland, Élysée, Italiano, Lindsay and Ysaÿe and dedicates herself entirely to the development of the quartet and its repertoire.
Since joining the Antares Quartet as second violin, Draga has attended the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse’s proficiency sessions, in Paris, under the direction of Bruno Pasquier and graduated from the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Sienna, Italy, having been taught there by Piero Farulli, alto for the Quartetto italiano.
